Natsubee
Welcome Natsubee to Ewe Wikipedia!
Thank you for your contributions to Ewe Wikipedia! This site has been in a state of dormancy till your edits came along.
As you may have guessed already, a significant proportion of the regular contributors to this site know little or no Ewe. We hope you can contribute, no matter what your language skills are.
You truly seem to have a genuine interest in this Wiki project and I hope it will blossom into something great. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, just ask me on my talk page.
Enjoy! --Jose77 22:12, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Akpe kakaka
trɔ asi le eŋuNatsubee, thank you very much for the work you have done on this Wikipedia. I've been away for the last few months, and the progress made here, especially in translating the interface, is immense! As we say in Siwu (Akpafu-gbe, a minority language spoken in Akpafu traditional area, Hohoe district): fɔ̀ ndo kàràbrà lo!, 'you did the work!'. Congratulations on a job well done. — mark ✎ 10:43, 1 Anyɔnyɔ 2007 (UTC)
- Hello Mark, its great to have you back. Thanks for the compliments. I am not always sure if my changes are the right ones. Good to have someone to bounce ideas off both here and on the English Wikipedia. We would not be here without the foundations you laid.--Natsubee 09:06, 4 Anyɔnyɔ 2007 (UTC)
- I'm glad that it has finally taken off. I know a few Eʋe speakers who have been looking at this place but who (one year ago) somehow felt it was too early to get involved. I'll ask them to have another look; we have to gain some momentum to keep this thing rolling.
- By the way, assuming you're from Ghana, which part of the Volta Region do you come from? — mark ✎ 09:56, 4 Anyɔnyɔ 2007 (UTC)

I was wondering if we could look forward to you pumping those numbers up in the near future? Hope to see you soon. Cheers! Siebrand 18:31, 15 Dzome 2007 (UTC)

Translation of a short story
trɔ asi le eŋuHi my friend!
I would like to request something from you. Yes, translation. I hope, it's not a bad thing for you. Some years ago I wrote a (really) short story about a lonely man (actually symbolized the Saami nation). I translated into some languages and I thought, it would be great to have it more, like also in Ewe :) I made this page, the English translation is somewhere there. You can put the Ewe translation there. We already have a Swahili version, so we need more from Africa! :) Thank you again! Sorry for my disturb... :( - hu:User:Eino81
István Sándorfi
trɔ asi le eŋuHi, my friend! Could you make a Ewe translation about this article: en:István Sándorfi He is a Hungarian painter, my role-modell. He died in 2007, this is my rememberance for him. Thank you! --Eino81 09:12, 29 Kele 2009 (UTC)
Request for help, please
trɔ asi le eŋuDear Natsubee, nice to meet you! I wonder if you would be so kind to help translate a very short-stub version of 3-4 sentences of this article (listed as one of the articles every Wikipedia should have) for this wonderful Wikipedia? Thanks for your time. I hope to hear from you. Sincerely--Brezza del mare 09:10, 13 Dzome 2009 (UTC)
connectivity project
trɔ asi le eŋuHallo, my name is Anastasiya Lvova, I'm "duty" in Connectivity project. The essence of the "Connectivity" project is to study and enhance the coherence of Wikipedia, or, in other words, to improve hypertext navigation between articles. The project deals with deadends, isolated articles, non-categorized articles, transitivity of the category tree, etc.
We want to work with your language version, but we need configured MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage for it (with direct links to template namespace pages, for example, ru:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage/de:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage/fr:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage). Is it possible to set it up for our usage?
thanks in advance, Lvova 18:34, 13 Masa 2010 (UTC)
My contributions
trɔ asi le eŋuI wish these articles are translated into Ewe. Therefore I made these articles. If you can translate it into Ewe, I want you to translate some articles and some templates. Because I am not a user good at English, please talk in simple English. --Footballer 05:42, 28 Dasiamime 2010 (UTC)
Cleanup of sysop flags
trɔ asi le eŋuHello,
when looking the contributions of Footballer, I checked if there was sysops here. And I see you're the only active one. The 3 others didn't edited since 3 or 4 years. And 2 of them never really participated to this Wikipedia.
So I would like to have your opinion, as unique active sysop, about removing the sysop flag to Paa.kwesi, Malangali and Mark Dingemanse. Do you know if there is a local policy about sysop flags ?
The second think I'd like to talk with you, is the contributions of Footballer. This user created many stubs in english, on 3 small wikis. Here he finally moved pages on his user name sub pages. But I can't see what he will do of these pages. And they are categorised ! Do you think these pages should be deleted ?
As you maybe know, I'm member of the global sysops, and I'm also a bot manager. For this reason it's quite easy for me to delete Footballer sub pages if it's decided. As he requested the deletion if his redirects I started this operation.
Regards
--Hercule 00:21, 21 Kele 2010 (UTC)
- Hello Hercule,
Paa.kwesi and Malangali preceded my involvement with the Ewe Wikipedia. I think it is ok to remove the sysop flags as they are no more active with this Wikipedia. There is no local policy here so general wikipedia rules apply. Mark Dingemanse was still active here when I joined up. He has taken a back seat since I have been here but I think we should maintain his sysop flag unless he is personally not interested in carrying on. He is still active on other wikipedias.
Secondly, about the subpages of Footballer, he started a lot of football articles in English here. I cautioned that they had to be translated or be deleted. As I began to tag for deletion, he decided to move them to subpages. I am happy for you to delete them as the information is available in English on the English Wikipedia anyway. I have been a bit soft since I am a sole sysop. Please go ahead and delete the subpages.--Natsubee 18:09, 6 Adeɛmekpɔxe 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the answer. I ask the removal for Paa.kwesi. As Malangali seem to be still active on en.wikipedia I'll try to contact him.
- Regards

Article translation/collaboration request
trɔ asi le eŋuHi Natsubee, how are you? Mate, I am trying to find an editor/s who can help by translating User:Russavia/Polandball into Ewe. I was wondering if we could make a trade?
If you could translate that article into Ewe for me, I would be happy to upload approximately 50 Ghana/Togo aviation photos to Commons from amongst the 200,000 I have permission to upload. I have uploaded a number of photos relating to aviation in Ghana and Togo to give you a brief idea of what I can upload, and I am keeping a gallery at User:Russavia of photos uploaded.
Would you be interested in such a "trade"? Do let me know, either by responding here, or on my talk page, or by emailing me. Cheers, Russavia (talk) 09:41, 22 Siamlɔm 2012 (UTC)

How we will see unregistered users
trɔ asi le eŋuHi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)
